We are currently seeking a dedicated, outgoing and personable fitness professional who can work with members of all ages and capabilities . There are other opportunities such as personal training and group exercise instruction for qualified candidate. Fitness center associate shifts are scheduled to cover business hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM , Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours. Availability to work afternoons/ evenings and/or Saturdays is essential. We are looking for a consistent and dedicated team member.

Fitness center associate responsibilities:

supervising members during exercise, assisting members with safe and effective use of exercise equipment, providing basic exercise instruction, daily cleaning duties, enforcing rules according to YMCA policies, communicating with department director as needed and required. (Possible personal training opportunities if applicable) Physical requirements include walking, standing, speaking, instructing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, carrying, cleaning, organizing, working with sound equipment and music technology, other duties necessary to provide a safe, friendly, clean and welcoming environment for members.
