Job Description
A long-term care pharmacy in the Sanford, Florida area is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a direct hire role, with temp-to-hire options also available. This facility supports skilled nursing, rehab centers, and assisted living communities across Central and North Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily pharmacy operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance Manage and supervise staff pharmacists and technicians Oversee medication fulfillment for multiple daily deliveries, including STAT orders Ensure proper use of secure onsite dispensing systems Coordinate consultant pharmacist services and in-service education programs Integrate pharmacy services with EMR systems and delivery tracking technology
Required Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist License Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or pharmacy manager in a long-term care or institutional setting Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Availability for a full-time, leadership-level role This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned pharmacist ready to step into a leadership role supporting post-acute care communities with a forward-thinking pharmacy team.
