Job Description

Full Time Long-Term Care Pharmacist In Charge – Sanford, FL Soliant Health is seeking a driven and experienced Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a long-term care pharmacy servicing a diverse range of facilities including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Rehabilitation Centers, and Assisted Living Communities. This opportunity is available as a Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire placement for the right candidate. This is a leadership role that requires strong clinical knowledge, operational expertise, and a commitment to regulatory excellence. Key Responsibilities:

Direct and manage all pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate medication fulfillment and delivery, including oversight of 24/7/365 service capabilities. Supervise multiple daily medication deliveries with STAT options and emergency dispensing systems to ensure rapid response to patient needs. Maintain strict adherence to state and federal compliance standards while promoting safe, therapeutically appropriate, and cost-effective medication practices. Deliver and coordinate consulting services to long-term care clients, including clinical interventions and ongoing quality assurance. Oversee and participate in staff training programs, including Med Pass reviews, medication observation and instruction, and preparation for state surveys. Integrate and manage pharmacy technology systems for delivery tracking, medication management, and EMR system interfacing. Provide leadership to pharmacy staff, promote a culture of accountability, and collaborate effectively with facility personnel and clinical teams.

Required Qualifications:

Active Florida Pharmacist license. Deep understanding of long-term care regulations, pharmacy compliance, and survey processes. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide teams and collaborate with external healthcare providers. Experience with pharmacy automation systems, EMRs, and logistics software related to delivery and inventory management. Demonstrated ability to manage complex pharmacy workflows in a fast-paced environment.
