This temporary position is located in Apex – Wake County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay:

$55.04 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction. This position is located at 2211 Schieffelin Rd, Apex, NC 27502. This position is responsible for providing quality healthcare to offenders by accurately dispensing medications and devices requested by the facility physician and physician extenders. Responsibilities include medication dispensing, drug therapy, and interaction monitoring with clinical interventions, final medication end product verification, provision of drug information, nursing inquiries, ancillary supply replenishment training, formulary and utilization review adherence, patient medication compliance monitoring, controlled substance accountability, inventory control responsibilities, pharmacy technician supervision and education and consultation with healthcare providers. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, monitor workflow, resolve dispensing problems, and monitor data integrity. Demonstrated ability to provide clinical consultation, detect and resolve adverse drug reactions and make recommendations. Demonstrated ability to identify issues and recommend solutions and provide drug information to healthcare providers.
Demonstrated knowledge to ensure compliance with NCBOP, DEA, DHHS and State/Federal laws, rules, and regulations.
