Description:
Under the general supervisionof the Director of Pharmacy Services, the Clinical Pharmacistassumes responsibility and accountability for managing rationalantibiotic therapy within White Plains Hospital or overseeingcritical care and high-risk patients as defined by the area ofresponsibility.
The Clinical Pharmacist collaborates and consultswith other healthcare professionals regarding the therapeutic useof antibiotics or other medications for patients within their scopeof responsibility. Additionally, they provide education andtraining for healthcare professionals involved in this clinicalforum.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesUnderstands andadheres to the client Performance Standards, Policies, andBehaviors.
Improves the monitoring and management of the clinicalpharmacy antibiotic service, or the care of critical care andhigh-risk patient groups, through interventions that enhance thequality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
Promotes clinicalpharmacy development by providing leadership and education forpharmacy staff.
Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieveorganizational objectives, fostering teamwork and encouraging newideas.
Generates creative approaches and innovative solutions toimprove performance, service, and quality, involving appropriatestakeholders in decision-making.
Takes personal responsibility forall work activities, follows through on commitments, implementsagreed-upon decisions, and acknowledges mistakes without placingblame on others.
Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity towardothers by treating people with courtesy and respect, maintainingpositive relationships, and fostering a welcomingenvironment.

Education & Experience RequirementsGraduate from anaccredited school of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree.
Current New YorkState Registration.
