Pharmacist Job Description We are seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription fulfillment and medication dispensing. Responsibilities Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients. Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and making changes to prescription orders. Ensure the accuracy of prescription order intake and the efficient fulfillment of orders. Dispense medications and provide support and counsel to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. Essential Skills Pharmacy license in the State of FL. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy. Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Retail experience in a high volume environment is highly preferred. Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a pharmacist preferred but not required. Work Environment This position involves a 40-hour work week with potential for overtime. The regular schedule is from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday, on the second shift. There is a two-week training period on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The work environment requires standing for the entire period.
