SCOPE:
Responsible for providing leadership, development, and coordination of Mary Bird Perkins pharmacy services. Operational & clinical oversight for treatment regimen review, drug utilization and preparation of chemotherapy/infusion medications.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
The Lead Oncology Pharmacist is responsible for the oversight of pharmacy services to include the clinical review, clean room operations chemotherapy preparation and compounding of infusion medications in compliance with FDA and established federal, state, and local regulations and participation in treatment regimen review for standardization.
QUALIFICATIONS
LA Pharmacy License in good standing with state board required PharmD preferred BCOP preferred 4 – 5 years of experience as a pharmacist Oncology experience required Management of pharmacy support personnel experience preferred
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Disease states, therapeutic use of drugs, clinically significant drug interactions, and adverse drug reactions and their interrelatedness. Knowledge of drug names, strength, dosage forms, generic equivalent, and storage requirements. Basic pharmacy compounding and dispensing Inventory control procedures and practices State laws and regulations regarding practice of pharmacy Knowledge of regulatory requirement related to dispensary and infusion area Knowledge of
