This includes drug distribution functions as well as clinical activities.

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. Essential Functions Interprets medication orders and transcribes to patient medication profiles accurately
Monitors drug therapy regimens for contraindications, duplications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of drug, dose, and frequency
Compounds and dispenses medications including sterile compounds, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
Reviews/interprets laboratory data for therapy appropriateness and recommends changes as needed
Interacts with patients, health care providers, clinics, and prescribers involved with the patient
Documents all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely
Participates in the quality improvement and medication use review activities of the department as necessary Why join our team?
