Job Summary:

This pharmacist position will provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic oues; promote cost-effective drug therapy management in emergency situations; work closely with technicians, nurses, and medical staff to provideprehensive pharmaceutical care to acute car areas.

The pharmacist will:

ad to the general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment by utilizingmunication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building, assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacist and other health care professionals in regards to pharmacotherapy; initiate and/or participate in medication utilization evaluations; participate in the drug therapy management in emergency situations.

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient oues.
Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
Maintain documentation forpliance with standards and regulations.
Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
Foster a cooperative work environment through effectivemunication and teamwork.

What You Will Need:

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) is required.
Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
One to two years experience is preferred. Completion of a residency and/or equivalent experience in clinical pharmacy is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and amitment to patient safety.
Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Must demonstrate amitment to high quality patient care and ongoing learning and skills development.
