Join a high-acuity hospital setting with a busy emergency department, where your skills will be crucial to delivering fast, accurate, and safe pharmacy services overnight. This is a 7-on/7-off schedule, perfect for someone who thrives in a focused, autonomous environment and enjoys consistent downtime.
Key Details:
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Rotating:
7 days on / 7 days off, every other weekend required
Start:
ASAP Large 435-bed facility with a high-volume
ED Responsibilities Include:
Accurately verifying and processing high-priority ED orders Collaborating with emergency department physicians and nursing staff Supervising pharmacy technicians during night shifts Ensuring timely dispensing of emergency and inpatient medications Monitoring quality measures and adherence to hospital protocols Supporting the overnight clinical operations with professionalism and urgency
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Active North Carolina Pharmacist License Minimum 1 year of direct experience handling ED pharmacy orders BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start) Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy procedures, terminology, and emergency protocols Excellent communication skills and ability to make clinical decisions in high-pressure environments
