The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works ina specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area. Working undermoderate supervision, this role provides patient care in theirspecialty area, engages with providers, pharmacy staff and maysupervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians. Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver thecorrect care to the correct patient. Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-relatedinformation to healthcare professionals, patients and thepublic. Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians. Precepts students and residents. Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency and spends themajority of time addressing complex situations or works on projectimprovement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
