Day and Evening Rotations, Including Some Weekends and Holidays Position Overview A leading healthcare institution in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Outpatient Pharmacist to join its dynamic outpatient pharmacy team. This role is integral to providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to ambulatory patients, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication therapy. Key Responsibilities Accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, potential side effects, interactions, and storage. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy. Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation. Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure proper dispensing, inventory, and customer service procedures. Monitor drug inventory and assist with procurement and compliance. Ensure adherence to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy. Current and valid New Jersey Pharmacist License in good standing. Prior experience in a retail or hospital outpatient setting preferred. Strong knowledge of drug therapy, interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations. Excellent communication, customer service, and clinical decision-making skills. Proficiency with
