Position Description
Advertised Job Summary To answer incoming calls to the Palmetto Poison Center. Job duties include handling requests from health professionals and the public for poison control and drug information. Will appropriately document calls in the computer data base utilized in the Center.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Experience in providing poison and drug information to health professionals and the public.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of drug and poison control information and procedures to relay to the public and skills to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Job Duty Handle requests from health professionals and the public for the Poison Control/Drug Information and appropriately document all calls using database program provided by the Palmetto Poison Center.
