Job Description
Completion of PGY1 Pharmacist Residency required. A Brief Overview Under supervision, completes behavioral objectives for rotations in order to gain practical experience necessary to implement, coordinate, and manage pharmaceutical services in an institutional setting. Performs pharmacist duties in accordance with professional standards and practices. What you will do Completes all behavioral objectives for each rotation as outlined in Regional One Health’s Residency Learning System (RLS) and Resitrak, under supervision of Director/Assistant Director. Performs functions and activities of staff pharmacist in accordance with professional standards and practices. Reviews, interprets, monitors and dispenses medications, drugs and other pharmaceutical as and ordered by physician/provider, including the calculation and preparation of solutions for oral, external, intramuscular and intravenous administration. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served within pharmacy areas. Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department and hospital information. Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e. HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance Policies). Interacts and maintains positive working relationships with pharmacy staff, physicians, nursing, other personnel and patients. Prepares and maintains required records, reports and files for administrative, operational and compliance purposes. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, compliance/quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control program. Presents formal and informed presentations as outlined in the Regional One Health’s Residency Learning System (RLS) and Resitrak. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Attends and actively participates in meetings, conferences, and seminars for the purpose of enhancing professional skills and sharing information on recent developments in fields of pharmacology and pharmaceutics. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Pharm D. Degree Required and Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates Required PHARMD
