Be the Pharmacy Director Youve Always Strived to BeConvey the mission of the hospital and organization to pharmacystaff, holding them accountable for performance, while motivatingthem to enhance and develop their capabilities. Oversee thepharmacy departments operations, including scheduling, continuousassessment, and the implementation of process improvements tooptimize department performance. Provide direct patient andpharmaceutical care. Demonstrate and maintain competence inclinical health system pharmacy practices, including antimicrobialstewardship, non-sterile and sterile drug preparation, controlledsubstances, hospital pharmacy accreditation, anticoagulation drugtherapy management, and medication safety. Educate staff onpharmaceutical care and medication management, ensuring thepharmacy consistently complies with local, state, and nationalregulations. Stay current with new medications, indications, andevidence-based medicine. Collaborate with the Controller to prepareand manage departmental budgets for staffing, drugs, and supplies.

Actively serve and lead various hospital committees, includingQuality Assurance, Formulary, Pharmacy and Therapeutics, MEC, andSafety, as needed. Celebrate the achievements and victories of ourdedicated employees along the way. Qualifications Licensed in goodstanding by the State Pharmacy Board for the state where thehospital is located. Successful completion of a degree from anaccredited pharmacy program or one recognized as substantiallyequivalent to a U.S. accredited program by an appropriatecertifying agency. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and ornight shifts. May be required to work on religious and/or legalholidays on scheduled days/shifts.
