Position Summary A Mgr of Pharmacy evaluate, treat and manage patients of all ageswhen consulted by providers in relation to medication needs ofthose patients in a wide variety of clinical settings. Responsibilities Responsible for the successful performance of area ofaccountability. Maximizes the efficiency of processes and actions to support theoperations of area of accountability. Sets expectations, assigns accountabilities, and measuresperformance against expectations in area of accountability. Develops and monitors action plans to improve performance againstexpectations in area of accountability. Conducts the affairs and operations of the area of accountabilityin support of operational excellence. Provides direction and leadership to management and staff in areaof accountability. Identifies, coordinates and adjusts resources as needed. Regularly tracks and trends data and assesses progress/achievementof agreed-upon performance measures, and provides periodic reportsto key stakeholders. Responsibility for monitoring and coherence to policies andprocedures. Ensures effective operations and support for compliance withapplicable governing, regulating and accrediting bodies, licensure,laws and regulations. Maintains clinical competency in procedures provided by department.

Directs, plans, and manages the information technologyinfrastructure to assure continuous operation of all standard,enterprise-wide business critical systems. Ensures the design, implementation, and enhancement of astandards-based technology infrastructure to support rapidassimilation of IS business solutions. Affirms the adoption and use of IT Service Management (ITSM) bymanaging team compliance with IS governance and ITSM processes andensuring ITSM subject matter expertise within the team. Monitors performance to service level commitments taking correctiveaction as needed and continually seeking new approaches to optimizedelivery of services. Facilitates positive relationships and communications betweendepartments and key stakeholders, through various means, such asconducting and attending meetings, rounding, having one-to-onecommunications, and generally being visible and accessible tocolleagues and staff. Plan and manage cost effective use of staff and resources inmeeting organizational needs and services. Evaluate and continuously improve service delivery through datacollection, planning and implementation to meet organizationalneeds. Demonstrates strong independent judgment and analytical skills torecommend improvements/changes in process. Considers/explores new and creative options to further improveareas of accountability in keeping with strategies and goals. With the assistance of assigned financial staff, reviews periodicfinancial statements and reports, and makes changes in resourceallocation, spending, and other relevant business activity, toensure the financial viability and budget compliance.
