June 9, 2025 ROLE IMPACT This non-retail pharmacy role offers the chance to support patients, providers, and pharmacies in accessing benefits and medications within a Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) environment. Success is defined by empathetic, accurate, and compliant handling of patient interactions, claims, and medication coordination within a high-volume call center setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacies to coordinate prescription benefit access Triage calls and assist members with understanding medication options and benefit details Manage prior authorizations, patient forms, claims, and data entry accurately Resolve complex member issues with empathy and regulatory compliance Collaborate cross-functionally to address and resolve issues efficiently
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (TX Board of Pharmacy or PTCB) 2+ years’ experience in PBM, mail order, or health plan environment Experience in pharmacy-related call center or triage setting Skilled in handling claims systems and clinical coordination High School Diploma or
GED CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
Pharmacy claims platforms Prior authorization and benefits systems EMR/EHR platforms Call center software and CRM tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication High attention to detail and regulatory awareness Customer-first, empathetic problem-solving
