Pharmacy Services Manager is needed to perform the following duties :
- Monitor daily pharmacy operations to ensure that they meet pharmaceutical regulations, legislation, state and DEA guidelines and standards.
- Oversee medicine delivery to ensure accuracy as well as security for all patients. Regularly assess and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and pharmacy guidelines. Maintain data security and comply with HIPAA rules.
- Manage inventory levels, guaranteeing appropriate stock and timely acquisition from vendors VAWD accredited and compliant with DSCSA regulations], while minimizing supply chain disruptions.
Manage the pharmacy’s budget and ensure savings in inventory management, purchases, and operations. Ensure that pharmaceutical items are handled and stored safely according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Manage and coach pharmacy staff, offering ongoing training to keep the team up to date on new pharmaceuticals, technologies, and laws. Conducting in house audits and corrective actions to ensure that quality requirements are met. Create a positive work atmosphere that focuses on cooperation, customer service, and professional development.
- Review Medicare patient’s eligibility for medications and ordering medications per insuranceluninsured requirements. Check formulary drug list, and ensure the patient is to receive the appropriate medication from the formulary.
- Recalls, overstock and outdated products/medications to be checked on a regular basis.
Check recal notifications sent to the pharmacy by wholesalers/manufacturers and follow procedures as provided. Overstock items (complete sealed bottles) that have been discontinued in the pharmacy to be removed from the shelves and be returned. Any products/medications within an expiration of 3 months to be removed and processed for returns to receive appropriate credit.
- Business development for the retail pharmacy, add new services provided within the business, streamline the workflow to make medications and services more convenient, utilize cross-selling market high-margin products.
Bachelor Degree is required in
