Manager Clinical Pharmacy

In this role, as Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Infectious Diseases, you’ll work closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacy Manager, other Clinical Pharmacy Managers, and Operational Managers to implement quality patient care services. One position is available with responsibilities in both adult and pediatric infectious diseases. You will join an already successful team of seven additional clinical pharmacy managers in infectious diseases across the healthcare system. Candidates will be expected to design, implement, and monitor pharmacotherapy of general and immunocompromised adult ID patients through multi-disciplinary rounds and daily antimicrobial stewardship activities, and provide education to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the health care teams. Other responsibilities include developing, implementing, managing and reporting results pertinent to continuous quality improvement and expense reduction programs related to the patients serviced, maintenance and review of institutional ID guidelines and policies, as well as participating in pharmacy student, PGY1 and PGY2 residency training. Many opportunities will be available to use problem-solving and decision-making skills, and to conduct ongoing research that helps advance the practice. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager acts as secretary or member of multidisciplinary committee(s) of medical staff, charged by the Formulary and Therapeutics Committee or other Medical Board Subcommittee, which oversees, develops, implements and manages policies for the care delivered to the patients serviced.
Preferred Criteria:
1-3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist
Required Criteria:
The successful candidate will be a graduate of an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy A related Master’s or Doctoral Level Academic degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is also required and completion of an accredited pharmacy residency in the specialty area is desirable Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Infectious Diseases Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
