In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality medication management and patient care. Duties As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include: Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions and other sterile products. Maintaining accurate medication records and patient profiles to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of compounded medications. Providing support in medication administration for patients in critical care or acute care settings. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management. Educating patients about their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage. Managing inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring timely reordering as needed. Participating in quality assurance initiatives to improve pharmacy services and patient outcomes. Experience To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice. Experience working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and IV infusion preparation is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
