The Position:
Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy technician assists in all pharmacy operation functions including but not limited to: entering prescription orders into the clinical information system, printing and pulling refills, entering medication profiles, compounding sterile preparations, assembling patient supplies, maintaining drug and supply inventory, making deliveries to patient homes, answering phone calls, and communicating with referral sources. Hours (generally): 8am-5pm. On call every 4th weekend
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required:
At least 18 years of age
Required:
Good interactive skills with employees, supervisors, referral sources and consumers
Required:
Registered with
Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Preferred:
National pharmacy technician certification (CPhT)
Preferred:
Completion of ALBOP required pharmacy technician training
Preferred:
