The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient service. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy operations, along with the ability to work effectively in both acute care and critical care settings. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusion therapies. Utilize aseptic technique to ensure the safe handling of medications. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring proper dosage and delivery methods. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient service and outcomes. Stay updated on medical terminology, pharmacy practices, and new medication developments. Experience Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in acute care or critical care environments. Familiarity with IV infusion processes and aseptic techniques is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
