Pharmacy Technician Norwich Pharmacy Norwich, CT 06360 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pharmacy operations by ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and service, while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and standards. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Manage medication administration processes, including IV infusion when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles. Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns related to medications. Ensure compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations. Support critical care and acute care initiatives by collaborating with healthcare teams. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy environment. Participate in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, but not required. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support in a pharmacy setting. Certification or licensure as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus.
