Compounding Pharmacy Technician Westlab Pharmacy Gainesville, FL 32607 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. This position involves preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to facilitate effective medication administration and support critical care initiatives. Duties Assist pharmacists in preparing and compounding prescription medications accurately. Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage conditions. create new formulas for compounded medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries Stay updated on compounded medications, pharmacy practices, and industry regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, including medication administration and calculations Ability to compound non sterile medications or learn how to compound Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in compounding medications and record keeping. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
