JOB DESCRIPTION
Compounding Pharmacy technician Under pharmacist supervision and direction, compound non-sterile and/or sterile dosage forms including suspensions, creams, solutions, ointments, injections, etc. Follow all applicable standard operating procedures required in the compounding processes, including use of equipment (i.e., analytical balances, ointment mills, LMX mixers), documenting requirements, and safety procedures. Ensure compounds are prepared in accordance to master formulation instructions and that all relevant compounding guidelines and quality standards are maintained Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients during the compounding process per master formulation instructions and standard operating procedures. For compounded sterile preparations, perform visual inspections, collect, prepare, & package samples for environmental monitoring, prepare & package compounded sterile preparations for shipment upon release from quality, and other procedures per standard operating procedures. Report out-of-specification observations, deviations, and modifications immediately to the pharmacist on duty. Take part in relevant training and education. Perform other duties as assigned. Pharmacy Technician Experience & Qualifications Registered pharmacy technician with the Florida Department of Health- Required Bachelor or AA degree
