How you make a difference : The Pharmacy Technician’s primary role is to dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician performs administrative duties such as data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities :

Dispense medical prescriptions and perform administrative duties as directed by the Site Physician or Charge Nurse. Maintain inventory records, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify stock. Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel as needed. Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification. Adhere to infection control techniques and principles, while respecting patient dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Education High school diploma or equivalent. Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by state of employment. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year experience. Familiar with a variety of field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Licenses/Certifications Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by the state of employment.
