Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician Vital Care of Pensacola Pensacola, FL 32505 We are currently seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician in our Pensacola, FL Pharmacy. Duties include contacting patients to schedule delivery of their medication and assess their supply needs, filling orders for medications and supplies, packing and shipping deliveries, and IV compounding. IV compounding experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collects data from patients for clinical assessment Schedules patient deliveries for medications and supplies Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into Vital Care of PC pharmacy software system Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home. Performs cleaning and testing of infusion pumps Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with Vital Care of PC policy and state BOP regulations Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements. Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts. Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma. Some college credits preferred Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Current registration and ACPE requirements are met Excellent customer service skills Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred not required IV Compounding experience preferred Basic to intermediate efficiency with
