Certified Pharmacy Technician 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars 6171 East Fowler Avenue, Temple Terrace, FL 33617 University Oncology & Hematology is seeking a certified pharmacy technician in Tampa Florida for our in office Dispensary. As a pharmacy technician working in a specialty doctor’s office you will assist patients in filling their prescriptions, completing prior authorization forms and helping apply for financial assistance with foundations and drug manufacturers. The applicant should possess excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. This is a fast paced position that requires excellent multitasking skills.
Knowlege in Liberty software is a plus Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in oncology drug prior authorizations, especially for oral and infused chemotherapy, related procedures, and biologic therapies. Familiarity with specialty pharmacy processes is also highly desirable. A few of the primary responsibilities include: Filling prescriptions Completing prior authorizations by reviewing patient charts and working with the providers Troubleshooting and resolving billing or authorization rejections and helping the patient understand their insurance coverage. Facilitating financial assistance by screening patients for eligibility and obtaining supporting documentation. Providing ongoing support to enrolled patients by performing adherence checks and refill reminders. Ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription orders. Specialty prescriptions require a high level of care.
