POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for interpreting prescription orders and transcribing them in LifeFile. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Lead Technician and a licensed pharmacist. The Data Entry Technician demonstrates a commitment to the mission and goals of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all pharmacy rules and regulations Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company Interpret faxes, escripts, verbal, and written prescription orders Input all information into LifeFile, including coordinating payments Assist customers at the front window, including processing payments Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas Restock supplies and general cleaning of pharmacy Maintain compliance with company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING
(e.g. professional qualifications, on-the-job training, education) An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute. High School Diploma or equivalent Registration with the Florida DOH as a licensed technician is required upon hire Retail pharmacy experience preferred Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Good math skills are essential Ability to work as part of a team and adapt in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned Travel As part of your job duties, travel may be required. If applicable, you will be compensated at the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
