Overview:
Compounding Pharmacy in Miami Lakes, FL seeks pharmaceutical technicians. Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding experience is preferred, but willing and able to train motivated individuals even from retail or hospital backgrounds. Competitive salary. No nights or weekends are required. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to patients. Your attention to detail and strong knowledge of pharmacy operations will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care.
Duties:
- Compound Sterile and non-sterile medications
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications
- Assist in the compounding of medications, including IV infusions and inhalation medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing pharmacy operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting, preferably in a hospital or acute care environment
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and critical care medications is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
