PM Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is critical in supporting pharmacists and ensuring optimal patient care by managing prior authorization processes, data entry, and member support. The ideal candidate is well-versed in pharmacy terminology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication skills-especially in handling complex inquiries from providers and members.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and accurately input basic prescription information for pharmacist review. Verify member information and update records in pharmacy systems. Educate members on pharmacy policies, prescription guidelines, and medication assistance programs. Process prior authorization requests from provider offices, ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations. Communicate determination outcomes to physicians, members, and internal teams. Resolve grievances and appeals related to pharmacy services and benefits. Respond to formulary, medication, and benefit inquiries from physicians, sales representatives, and members. Generate and maintain reports on physician utilization, rebates, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, and other ad hoc data. Maintain meticulous records of prior authorization decisions, monthly logs, and rebate documentation.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Florida. Minimum one (1) year of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in a retail pharmacy setting. Proficiency in pharmacy systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting tools. Strong understanding of pharmacy terminology and prior authorization processes. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
