Their duties include filling and labeling prescriptions, interacting with customers to answer questions or give them their prescriptions, and contacting customers to notify them when their prescription is ready. Operations Manager Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active and in good standing Registered Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of one year experience in oral and infusion pharmacy desired,
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and initiative in processing prescriptions.
- Basic knowledge or familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic codes.
- Basic knowledge or familiarity with insurance verification, healthcare benefits assessment, and paperwork.
- Bilingual is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Represent the pharmacy professionally and courteously in all interactions with patients. 2. Dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist. 3. Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacy’s policies on ”best practices”. 4. Assist in resolving patient concerns and complaints. 5. Assume on-call responsibilities following pharmacy guidelines. 6. Report product incidents as required following pharmacy policy. 7. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements. 8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist. 9. Assist the pharmacist with the ordering of supplies, inventory, and record keeping. 10. Follow up and obtain authorization and prior authorization as necessary. 11. Ensure compliance with the organization’s Code of Conduct and all applicable laws, including HIPAA regulations for the protection of sensitive information. 12. Perform any additional duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and organization.
