Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Oncology Marketing Liaison to support the growth and visibility of our oncology practice across South Florida. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder with a strong understanding of the oncology care continuum, capable of developing physician relationships, managing referral pipelines, and executing strategic outreach initiatives. A pharmacy technician background is preferred to support collaboration with our in-house specialty pharmacy, though this role is primarily focused on marketing and business development for the oncology practice. Primary Responsibilities –
Oncology Marketing Focus :
Drive patient growth by developing and executing outreach strategies to increase oncology referrals from primary care, specialists, and hospital discharge planners. Establish and maintain strong relationships with referring providers, nurse navigators, practice administrators, and community partners. Conduct regular in-person visits to medical offices, clinics, and health systems to promote oncology services, programs, and care pathways. Collaborate with the medical and administrative leadership to align marketing activities with practice priorities and service line goals. Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in new territories or with underserved patient populations. Organize and participate in community health events, cancer screenings, and oncology-specific forums or CME sessions. Work with the marketing team to develop oncology-focused promotional materials, referral tools, and patient education content. Track and analyze referral data, outreach effectiveness, and competitor activity to adjust strategies and report on performance. Serve as the liaison for provider feedback and ensure responsive communication regarding patient status, appointment scheduling, and coordination of care. Maintain a strong understanding of the oncology service line offerings, including treatment modalities, diagnostics, supportive care, and patient navigation programs. Secondary Responsibilities –
Pharmacy Support Integration:
Serve as a point of contact between the oncology practice and the in-house specialty pharmacy team. Educate providers and staff on pharmacy services related to oncology medications, including in-office dispensing, prior authorizations, and patient financial assistance. Support prescription capture efforts by coordinating referrals and ensuring seamless communication between practice and pharmacy. Assist in onboarding new oncology patients requiring specialty medications and facilitate benefits investigations as needed.
Reporting & Administrative Duties:
Submit detailed weekly outreach and marketing reports to leadership, including KPIs on provider contacts, referral trends, and campaign performance. Maintain accurate CRM or Smartsheet tracking of all visits, activities, and outreach efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, marketing, public health, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Pharmacy Technician license in Florida preferred, especially with experience in oncology/specialty medications. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in healthcare business development, physician liaison, or oncology marketing. Deep understanding of the oncology patient journey and healthcare provider landscape. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; highly personable and professional. Strong time management, organizational, and presentation skills. Ability to travel locally daily across Dade and Broward Counties (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
