Certified Pharmacy Technician Position Available In Orange, Florida

Remote Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking dedicated pharmacy technicians based in Florida or Georgia to join a healthcare insurance company’s Pharmacy Services department. Your main role will be to review Prior Authorizations and determine their approval or denial before sending them for final review by a pharmacist. You will handle all health plans and various types of medications. Responsibilities + Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach. + Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system. + Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and escalated member issues. + Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a pharmacist for interpretation or processing direction. + Assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls. Essential Skills + High School diploma or GED. + Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation. + Strong computer skills. + Nationally Certified Technician (CPhT, PTCB, NHA) and registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Prior Authorization processes. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. + Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings. Work Environment This is a professional remote work environment. You will work with multiple screens and systems, requiring strong WiFi and a private office space with a closed door. The shift is Monday-Friday from 8am-8pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks and some holidays. Training will be conducted from 10am-6:30pm EST. Equipment, including computer, monitor, and headset, will be provided. You must have your own workspace, WiFi, and a smartphone. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
