Pharmacy Service Associate wintergarden pharmacy 736 South Dillard Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the medication administration process, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in hospital settings, particularly those familiar with acute care and critical care environments. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescriptions. Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medications and their administration, including inhaled medications and IV infusions. Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for patient needs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service and optimal medication management. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with team members and document patient information accurately. Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Requirements Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role within a hospital or acute care setting is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration processes, including IV infusion techniques and inhaled medications. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient service and teamwork. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
