Duties Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including IV infusions and critical care medications. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations. Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products safely. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns related to medications. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients. Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring expiration dates. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in a hospital or acute care setting. Knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacology and patient care. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication administration protocols. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
