Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are hiring Pharmacy Technicians for our Medical/Pharma department. This role focuses on Medical Authorizations, particularly for injectable medications administered at doctors’ offices. It does not involve traditional prescription authorizations. The primary duties involve logging into two main platforms, receiving inbound faxes from Truecare, reviewing and processing these faxes, and building authorizations in the Truecare platform. Responsibilities Log into two main platforms to receive and process inbound faxes. Review faxes, perform data entry, and build authorizations in the Truecare platform. Enter details such as the doctor, drug, due date, and review type (standard or expedited). Complete a premade template in Word for drugs that do not require authorization and fax it back to the doctor. Occasionally call doctors for clarification if needed. Ensure fast communication and efficient system updates. Ability to work independently. Highly detail-oriented. Experience with tight turnaround times. Work Environment This is a 100% remote position requiring a quiet, closed-door setting with strong WiFi. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks and occasional holiday work.
