We are seeking a highly accurate, process-driven Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy operations of one of our respected healthcare partners in Orlando, Florida. This hybrid role combines both on-site and remote responsibilities and plays a vital role in ensuring prescription accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across the pharmacy workflow. This role is ideal for pharmacy technicians who enjoy behind-the-scenes precision work and are experienced in managing digital workflows, prescription intake, and electronic documentation within a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter and verify prescription information, patient demographics, and insurance details in the pharmacy management system.
Review scanned or faxed prescriptions for completeness and compliance with state and federal requirements.
Communicate with prescribers or pharmacists to resolve missing or unclear information.
Monitor electronic prescription queues and prioritize processing to maintain workflow efficiency and service timelines.
Support billing processes by addressing claim rejections and coordinating third-party insurance information.
Update and maintain patient profiles, including allergy status, medication history, and relevant clinical notes.
Collaborate with pharmacists and on-site staff to ensure prescriptions are prepared, staged, and quality-checked.
Uphold patient confidentiality and data security standards in accordance with HIPAA and Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Participate in administrative tasks including audit prep, regulatory reporting, and internal documentation.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration in good standing (required).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with a strong focus on data entry, electronic intake, or digital prescription processing.
Proficient in pharmacy systems.
Excellent data entry accuracy, typing speed, and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of medication sig codes, drug classifications, and pharmacy terminology.
Familiarity with insurance processing, coordination of benefits, and claim resolution procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

National certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Experience in mail-order, long-term care, specialty, or high-volume pharmacy settings.
Familiarity with compliance tracking, formulary restrictions, and pharmacy audit documentation.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus.

Schedule & Work Environment:

Full-time, hybrid role based in Orlando, Florida
Monday through Friday with rotating shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
Combination of on-site responsibilities and remote data entry tasks based on business needs
Reliable high-speed Internet and a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace are required for remote work
No weekend or overnight shifts required

Compensation:
Annual Salary Range:

$37,000 – $46,000

Equivalent Hourly Rate:

$18.00 – $22.00 per hour Final compensation is based on experience, certification status, and role alignment.
