Remote Pharmacy Technician Job Description We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians located in Florida, Alabama, or South Carolina to join a dynamic Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. This role involves reviewing Prior Authorizations, approving or denying them, and forwarding them to a Pharmacist for final review. Technicians will handle all health plans and types of medications. Responsibilities Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach. Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system. Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues. Escalate prescription-related questions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing. Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls. Essential Skills High School diploma or GED. Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be a Nationally Certified Technician. Registered pharmacy technician in the state of residence. Prior experience in call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy environments is beneficial. Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to work remotely in a professional environment. Candidates must have strong Wi-Fi and a dedicated office space with a closed door. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm in the respective time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks and some holidays. Training will be conducted from 10am to 6:30pm EST.
