• Six-month contract, with opportunity for full-time offer

• Schedule:

• 8:30AM – 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

• Pay:

• $16.00 – $17.00 an hour based on experience
• Responsibilities of the

Pharmacy Technician:

• + Perform routine and professional pharmacy functions.

+ Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor/Manager, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing prescriptions, preparing orders according to client specifications + Verify information on prescriptions received prior to processing (correct prescriber, name of patient, patient information, medication, dose, quantity, number of refills, lot, and expiration date). + Accountable for checking patient history for any duplicate orders and follow the proper procedures. + Follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws. + Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures. + Maintain all records including prescription logs and related files + Perform follow up on all outstanding prescriptions/authorizations and communicate discrepancies to pharmacist or appropriate leadership. + Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements + Maintain a clean and orderly work site.

• Qualifications of the

• Pharmacy Technician:

• High School Graduate or GED
• Registered Technician with Florida Board of Pharmacy in good standing
• Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing preferred
• Minimum of one year pharmacy experience preferred
