The organization is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to fill an open position in the clinic, located in a busy office building. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with both customers and the front desk. The individual who is chosen will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of pharmacy items, preparing and storing medications, processing insurance claims and ringing up customers.
Responsibilities:
Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy Prepares prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy Checks drugs and supplies, inventory counts, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventory Communicates in-person or on the phone with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner Maintains equipment cleanliness and clutter free environment in pharmacy Assists in the training of new employees Completes adherence and prescription pick up calls Addresses all patient concerns and needs in professional manner Attends designated departmental meeting as requested by pharmacist-in-charge Performs other tasks or duties as requested
