Position Summary:
Directly accountable to the Pharmacist for the quick and accurate preparation of drug and related documents for the care of patients. All drugs and documents will be checked prior to leaving the pharmacy; however technicians must strive for accuracy. Sterility of injections must be maintained at all times. The Technician is responsible for the proper care and cleaning of the laminar flow hoods and all other equipment, in the pharmacy, used to compound or pre-package medications. Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of medications by ensuring all items are recorded on the order log.

Licensure/Certification/Registration :
Although not required a Pharmacy Technician Certification associate degree are desirable and/or registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Education:
