1 4.1 out of 5 stars 100 Woman’s Way, Baton Rouge, LA 70817 The Retail Pharmacy Tech II performs routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication such as typing labels and counting medication. Also performs administrative duties such as answering phones, stocking, processing insurance claims, maintaining records, and operating point of sale payment device. Work is performed under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Pharmacy technician certification. One year of pharmacy technician experience preferred. Retail experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Receive written prescriptions or refill requests and verify information is complete and accurate. Prepare prescription by typing label information, counting and preparing medication for pharmacist verification. Manage inventory which includes, but not limited to pulling and returning overstock, expired and recalled merchandise, ordering and receiving drug inventory, verifying quantities with invoices and report discrepancies. Label and place drugs in stock. Maintain supply stock for vials, labels, and office supplies and replenish storage areas as needed. Order supplies through Morris & Dickson, GHX, Healthcare Logistics and I Print. Prepare and process insurance claim forms and records. Resolve high level insurance issues for patients. Operate point of sale payment device, perform daily reconciliation as well as reconcile insurance payments. Any other duties as assigned by Woman’s Hospital.

Part-Time
- rotating hours/approximately 20 hours per week Pharmacy is open: Monday
- Friday; 6:45 AM
- 5:30 PM Saturday
- Sunday; 6:45 AM
- 3:30
PM Pay Range:
Hourly/Non-Exempt $16.00
