JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Pharmacy Technician assists Pharmacy Technician Supervisor in quality improvement activities, service process assessment and continually seeks to improve operation efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
One year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience at Berkshire Health System. Must be proficient in all functions of Hospital Pharmacy Technician job including IV room compounding or Hazardous Drug & Chemotherapy compounding.
Education:
Associate degree in Arts or Sciences required; Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
PHTECC•Cert Pharm Tech
PTCB/NHA PHARMTECH REG
•Registered MA Pharmacy Tech DRIVER•Massachusetts Driver’s License
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Detailed oriented. Excellent analytic and problem solving skills. Able to organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in some type of leadership role in pharmacy or other fields. Ability to work and think independently is required (with limited, but direct Pharmacist supervision). A moderate level of computer skills is required as interaction with automation software and technology is significant in this position. Must have strong math skills with ability to calculate fractions, ratios and decimals. Must be 18 years of age or older, be of good moral character and never been convicted of a drug related felony.
