We have been serving the needs of our community for over 30 years, providing retail pharmacy services as well as specialty blister packing and delivery. We are looking for an applicant who is willing to work 30-40 hours per week (open 8:30am-5:30pm daily) with a rotating Saturday schedule (open 9am-2pm Saturdays). Apply to join our team today! Job Responsibilities The primary job responsibilities are to assist the pharmacist on duty to provide high-quality, timely, and accurate customer care in any way necessary. A friendly demeanor and ability to work well in a team- based setting is required. Any tasks assigned to the pharmacy technician must be completed safely & in accordance with all state and federal laws. Some required tasks for this position: Enter all necessary patient demographic information into the pharmacy software Perform all functions of processing new and refill prescriptions safely & accurately Accurate data entry of new prescriptions including drug name, strength, quantity, refills, directions, days supply, date written, etc. Consults with pharmacists regarding potential drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, or any other concerns Selecting appropriate items from pharmacy inventory Counting/blister packing medication Operating a cash register & collecting payment Answer telephone calls in a friendly & timely manner Maintain adequate inventory of pharmacy merchandise & supplies Accept daily wholesale orders, verifies their contents, and accurately incorporates new items into pharmacy inventory Any other tasks deemed necessary by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist on duty Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Current active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License PTCB National certification strongly preferred At least 2 years of experience as Pharmacy Technician or Certified Pharmacy Technician Strong computer skills & an aptitude to learn new software quickly Ability to work well in a team-based setting
