Videos Duties Pharmacy Technician:

Major duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, schedules, distributes and revises work assignments in accordance with established routine and urgent procedures. Schedules and approves employee leave and plans coverage during scheduled and unscheduled absences. Performs all personnel reled functions for the employees he/she supervises to include interviewing potential employees and submits selection recommendions. Inities performance standards, conducts performance appraisals , inities performance awards and disciplinary/adverse actions, etc. as necessary. Trains and orients new personnel, volunteers, students, etc. in the technical phases of CMOP operions.

A Pharmacy Technician employed in VHA on the effective de of the qualificion standard (11/7/2023) are considered to have met all qualificion requirements for the title, series and grade held, including positive educion and licensure/certificion/registrion th are part of the basic requirements of the occupion. For employees who do not meet all the basic requirements in this standard but who met the qualificions applicable to the position the time they were appointed to it, the following provisions apply: Employees may be reassigned, promoted up to and including the full performance (journey) level or changed to lower grade within the occupion but may not be promoted beyond the journeyman level or placed in supervisory or managerial positions. Work is performed in a highly mechanized warehouse setting around production machinery. Modere noise and traffic require tention to safety.
