1st shift, days will vary | No Supervisory Responsibilities | No Travel | Pay commensurate with experience Full time, day shift position in the Pharmacy.
JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Pharmacy technician is responsible for screening outpatient infusion orders for financial appropriateness for the facility. Coordination with other departments for any special administration requirements is expected. The employee will also be expected to perform other duties associated with being a hospital pharmacy technician, including IV admixture preparation, Omnicell stocking, and employee prescription processing.

Hospital experience preferred. Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement preferred. License /

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This certified pharmacy technician will serve the department as an evaluator of outpatient infusion orders to ensure that orders are cost effective for both the facility and patient. Working with other departments, this individual will research reimbursement information, acquisition cost information, charge information, and any manufacturer specific administration requirements. This information will be given to the Director of Pharmacy.
Additional duties include the following:
1. IV admixture preparation 2. Employee prescription processing 3. Omnicell restocking. 4. Answering the telephone and department window. 5. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.). All new employees working must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment (unless the new hire has requested and received an exemption).
