We are looking to hire two pharmacy technicians to be part of our growing telemedrec team. Scheduling would be for various shift times between 8am-6pm EST Monday
- Friday up to an average of 40 hours per week.
The current need is for weekday availability. Applicants must have a minimum availability of 30 hours per week. Schedule is known at least 2 weeks in advance. This role will report to the Head of Remote Clinical Services Responsibilities
- Conduct remote clinical services with patients leveraging Truentity’s Medication Software Platform.
- Obtain medication history on assigned patients via communication with various sources including patients, caregivers, facilities, pharmacies, and providers.
- Clarify and investigate discrepancies when necessary in order to synthesize a Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) to share with healthcare team.
- Communicate any medication related issues to appropriate healthcare provider.
- Enter patients’ BPMH and other relevant information into our secure online applications.
- Coordinate patient education activities, handle technical and scheduling activities and other program support duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively with onsite staff when applicable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to educate and instruct patients, providers and other healthcare professionals through support over phone and various tele-health tools. Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of brand and generic medication names and basic pharmacology.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB
- CPhT).
- Familiarity with EHR tools (Epic, Cerner, eCW preferred).
- Experience using OutcomesMTM or MedMonitor.
- Knowledge of Surescripts Medication History module is preferred
- Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and strong data entry skills
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday anytime between 8am-6pm ET
- At least 2+ years of related experience as a medication reconciliation technician
- Multiple language fluency is preferred
- Competent in the use of computers/technology & ability to work independently Competencies 1.
