Job Summary :
Work as a member of Outpatient Retail Pharmacy team to deliver quality patient care. Activities will include but are not limited to dispensing medications, educating patients, and providing clinical information and expertise to other healthcare professionals. Responsible for operations and customer satisfaction in the pharmacy. Assist in managing the activities of a team of pharmacy technicians. Actively participates in the development and implementation of performance/quality improvement and patient safety activities. Supports Clinical Coordinator in completing initiatives to meet the goals of the area scorecard for productivity, inventory management and service. Travel to all sites and last-minute schedule flexibility are required.

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly. Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency. Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available. Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas. Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department’s commitment to Total Quality principles. Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others. Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives. Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork. Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
What You Will Need :
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Nice To Have (Not Required) Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred. One to two years retail experience is preferred. PTCB technician certification (CPhT) preferred. North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.
PTCB/NHA
technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days of employment or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy School.
