How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Prepares and delivers IV and unit dose medications for pediatric patients. Additional responsibilities include inventory control, ordering, and stocking. s pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
Works well with others andanizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
s keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and supports the Pharmacy Department’smitment to Total Quality principles.
Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
Sets personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through goodmunication, relationships, and teamwork.
Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.

What You Will Need:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
Successfulpletion of a Pharmacy Technology course preferred.
One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
Previous IV experience; previous experience servicing pediatric patient population.
PTCB technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.

PTCB/NHA

technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days of employment or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy School.
